N1409L - A great Beech Musketeer I bought, reconditioned, and flew for about 3-4 years.  I made the mistake of putting my expenses on a spreadsheet and found out how much owning an airplane was costing me per hour.  Sold it to a fellow at PDK.  Been sorry ever since.

The family threw a party when I passed my oral and practical.  They were as amazed as I was!

24939 was the C-152 I used for most of my training at Southeastern Flight School during the past year. A flying buddy, Bob Austin, is fueling the Cessna.  By the way, congratulations to Bob on earning his ticket on January 23rd.

Flew with Terry McConnell in his sharp Cherokee 140 to a few airports in North and Central Georgia.  We were distributing posters advertising the Chapter 38 Fly-In at the Cherry Blossom Festival.  We had stopped at the Athens Airport and taken a little break from all the 'hard work' of flying .

The new addition to the family! This is my '78 Piper Tomahawk, N2470D, based at Perry-Houston County Airport (PXE).  A two-place, 125HP T-tail, it flies and looks great!  Purchased in it December, '04.  More pics on the Tomahawk Page.
Someone who took 39 years to get his pilot's license should have a fundamental, if not an overriding, interest in aviation. I took my first flight in an Aeronica Chief out of (then) Cochran Field, now MCN in 1961.  I decided then I would get my pilot's license and finally did in 2000.
I flew a few different aircraft during my 'student' days,  the Chief, a bevy of 152's, a Tomahawk, 172's, a couple of Warriors, the Beech on the left, and even got a little non-official right-seat time in a Cherokee 6 (thanks, Ken).
Now that I'm official, I've got to figure out what the heck all these little marks on this sectional mean.
If you have any interest in aviation, there are a few links below which may interest you.
The local chapter of EAA, Chapter 38, usually meets every 4th Saturday at AirPark., but be sure to check the Chapter 38 link below to be sure on any given month for special meeting times and/or places.
177PG (Don Hanson's Aztec) which he graciously let me right-seat.  Absolutely fantastic to fly, but there sure are a lot of dials and gauges for a low-time VFR man to look at.

Downwind at Cochran during a poker flight in Howard Goldey's Hatz, a beautiful, open cockpit biplane
